Save the Tiger – drink rum
Wild Tiger Rum is conceptualized and owned by Indian drinks entrepreneur Mr. Gautom Menon. Made in Kerala, South India, the brand is not only unique in terms of each of its handcrafted bottles bearing unique tiger stripes, but also the idea and the cause that it supports make it even more special.
As a part of its core CSR policy – the Wild Tiger brand donates 10% profits towards Tiger Conservation in Southern India where they have set up their own non-profit initiative called WTF (Wild Tiger Foundation). WTF works with other established wildlife establishments and prominent Tiger experts to save the tiger and its habitat in Southern India. Besides that, each bottle is unique and a work of handcrafted packaging by empowered village women as Wild Tiger believes in fostering women’s development and equal opportunities.

The blend
The first Wild Tiger Rum was launched at UK Rumfest in 2015. Wild Tiger Rum is a unique exotic blend using both sugar cane distillates, molasses and sugar cane juice. It is a column destillate matured in American oak casks.

Tasting notes: Wild Tiger India Spices Rum
Predominantly a molasses-based rum made with rich flavours of the Malabar coast – the ancient hub of spice trade, the drink has exotic Indian flavors of cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, licorice, black pepper, ginger, cassia bark, orange peel, forest honey and a secret tea extract fused into the rum. The fiery flavour of this rum will transport your senses to India with each sip.

Nose: Pronounced notes of zesty tangerine and cardamom flavours come through like petrichor and freshly cut grass.
Taste: Earthy, vegetal and full of spice as black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, forest honey and ginger hit your tongue.
Body: Full-bodied with a complexity of aromas and flavours that are beautifully textured.
Finish: Intense and profoundly delightful, more spicy than sweet.

About the producer

Wild Tiger

Wild Tiger is the brain child of drinks entrepreneur Gautom Menon, a rum aficionado and Tiger enthusiast. The brand is independently owned (Wild Tiger Beverages). Gautom’s ambition to create the brand is based on the fact that India is one of the largest producers and consumers of rum but still they do not have a single premium rum reflected on global stage. Gautom Menin saw an opportunity to create an indigenous rum brand which one could truly “Pour with Pride” and represent their urban aspirations, hence Wild Tiger was born.

The blend
Wild Tiger Rum is made in Kerala, South India. It is a unique and exotix blend using both sugar cane distillates, molasses and sugar cane juice. The cane juice distillate is added to give the rum a distinct profile and also at same time to honour the tradition, because when the first distillation of sugar cane was done in ancient Indian it was made like an agricole and not mainly molasses as it is today

Corporate Social Responsibility) is in the nature of the brand:
Only 2200 Tigers remain in the Indian forests. This figure is down from 10.000 Tigers in a century ago and 40.000 six decades ago in 1947. Therefore, the brand donates 10% of profits towards Tiger Conservation in South India via Wild Tiger Foundation.
Every single bottle is unique. The velvet tiger fabric sleeve on the bottle is made by local Indian women to give them an opportunity to achieve independence.
