La Maison du Rhum

A signature brand of Dugas, la Maison du Rhum brings together rums with authentic history, distinctive aromatic profiles and a true sense of origin. In addition, each cask has been carefully selected from each distillery by Mr Dugas and his rum masters. These exclusive rum casks were aged and blended in their home country, from all over the world, and bottled exclusively by Dugas in France.

Venezuela is a land of rum thanks to the combination of flourishing production of sugar cane and it’s long history of savoir-faire in the art of distillation. The complexity and aromatic profile typical of Spanish style rums are a result of their elaboration from molasses and sugar cane honey coupled with the aging process. The result: rums of exquisite harmony, both full-bodied and delicate. This bottling was selected for the collection of La Maison du Rhum, which reunites exceptional products from the most reputable distilleries of their respective countries.

DUSA Distillery

Diplomático is produced at the DUSA distillery, located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Venezuela. The distillery was established in 1959 when Venezuelan producers and distributors joined forces to found Licorerias Unidas S.A. (LUSA) in partnership with Canadian Seagram. They were to supply the local market with whiskey, vodka, gin, liqueur and thus rum.
