S.B.S Jamaica 2000 is distilled at Hampden Distillery in Jamaica. Hampden Distillery is specialized in the making of heavy pot still rums. Even though Hampden Distillery prides itself in the art of making High Ester Rums from knowledge handed down from generation to generation using fermenters made more than a century ago, they also use the latest equipment’s to ensure product quality. At Hampden Distillery, they don’t use commercial yeast but cultures, suspends and regenerate its own.

Jamaica is among other things known for its funky and heavy styled Jamaican rums, and rum is a fundamental part of the Jamaican culture. If you count all the small and decrepit rum bars along every small road, there is almost a bar per every third citizen.

Nose: Raw marzipan, toffee, rubber, vanilla sugar, Bastogne biscuits with cinnamon.

Palate: Dry wood, mild salty notes on the lips. Freshly baked banana bread with cinnamon and burned sugar. Bitter starfruit and orange peel.
