St. Lucia Distillers was born in 1972 from fusion of two distilleries on te island. Its international recogniion is due in large part to Laurie Barnard, director of the distillery for four decades. With its four stills, three pot stills and one column, in addition to their savoir-faire of aging and blending St. Lucia produces a fine collection of traditional rums. St. Lucia 2013 was distilled in a traditional column style and subsequently stored in 1st fill American white oak barrels. The rum is limited to 4,413 bottles.

One will find an extraordinary diversity of flavors and styles, from each cask, due to the different sugar basis molasses, sugarcane honey or pure “ sugarcane juice, offering different styles of rum French, English Spanish. The unique labels in the series were inspired by vintage rum labels that we found in the collection of a rum aficionado.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Opens up on stewed fruits aromas.
Palate: A bold attack with spices, dry wood, dry vanilla and esters.
Finish: A persistant finish with woody notes and subtil aromas of vanilla
